Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Echo-Story

Getting Started

How difficult is it to set up?
Setup is incredibly simple. Just charge the box, turn it on, and you're ready to record. There's no app to download, no Wi-Fi to connect, no account to create. If you can press a button and tap a card, you can use Echo-Story.
Do I need a smartphone or internet connection?
No! That's one of the best features. Echo-Story works completely offline and doesn't require any phone, tablet, or internet connection. Everything is stored locally in the box itself.
Can children use it independently?
Absolutely. Children as young as 3-4 can typically use Echo-Story on their own. The tap-to-play design is intuitive—they just need to place a card on the box to hear their favorite stories.

Technical Questions

How long can each recording be?
Each story card can hold up to 15 minutes of recording. That's perfect for bedtime stories, family memories, or educational content. If you need longer, you can split content across multiple cards.
How many story cards can one box hold?
The Starter Kit supports 50 cards, the Family Pack supports 100 cards, and the Legacy Edition has unlimited storage. You can always upgrade storage later if needed.
How long does the battery last?
On a full charge, Echo-Story lasts 2-3 weeks with typical daily use (5-10 stories per day). It charges via USB-C in about 2 hours. You can also use it while charging.
What happens if I lose a story card?
Each card's recording is stored both on the card and in the Echo-Story box. If you lose a card, you can program a new blank card with that same story. We also recommend labeling cards so they're easy to identify.
Can I delete or re-record over a story?
Yes. Simply hold the delete button while tapping the card you want to clear. Then you can record a new story to that card. This prevents accidental deletions while allowing you to update content as needed.

Audio Quality

How is the audio quality?
Echo-Story uses high-quality recording (16-bit, 44.1kHz) to ensure voices sound clear and natural. The built-in speaker is optimized for voice playback, making every word easy to understand.
Can I use headphones?
Yes, Echo-Story has a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. This is great for quiet environments or when kids want to listen without disturbing others.
